How space feels
Why some rooms feel bigger, calmer or heavier than they are. Light, proportion, ceiling height and the tricks designers use.
Spatial perceptionPrewalk is a video channel about how buildings feel, how they are made, and the tools that let us test them first: BIM, virtual reality and new building technology.
Every video starts from a real architectural idea and explains it in plain language, with images you can follow even if you have never opened a CAD program.

Spatial perceptionNew materials and construction methods, from steel warehouse sheds to residential towers, seen from inside real projects.
Building technologyBIM, real-time rendering and VR headsets: walking through a design at full scale before a single wall is built.
BIM and VRSensors, maintenance and smart buildings that notice their own problems before the people inside do.
Smart buildingsA short look at how proportion, light and sightlines change the size a room seems to be, and how architects use that on purpose.
Go to the channelPrewalk also takes on project work: letting clients walk through a building before it is built, and helping brands in architecture and construction reach the channel's audience.
Your design as a tour you can walk through on a Meta Quest headset or in a web browser, for client meetings, approvals and sales.
Revit models built from your drawings, ready for coordination, quantities and visualization.
Still images and walkthrough videos made with Enscape, Twinmotion or Lumion.
Video partnerships for software, materials and building-technology companies.

Send your drawings through the form and you will get a quote and timeline for your project, free and with no commitment.
A Revit, SketchUp, Rhino or ArchiCAD model is ideal. CAD drawings or PDF plans and sections also work; the model is then built from them.
No. The web tour opens on a phone or laptop. A headset makes it more immersive, and the tour can also be delivered as a standalone app for Meta Quest that runs without a computer.
Yes. You see a draft before final delivery, so changes can be made while they are still easy.
Yes. Everything is done remotely: files, reviews and delivery all happen online.
Prewalk is run by Soheil Vahedi, an architect who works on BIM for large residential towers and has designed industrial projects such as warehouse sheds, loading docks, pumping stations and electrical substations.
The channel grew out of building VR walkthroughs for real projects and wanting to explain, simply, why spaces work the way they do. Over time Prewalk will also share tools and software made for architects.
